Plexus, the US supplier of industry and telecom equipment and services, is poised to invest 20m euros to build a plant in Eurobusiness Oradea industrial park and will hire 350 people over the next five years.
The US company, which arrived in Romania in 2009, currently operates in a rented space in Oradea and has 150 employees.
"We anticipate our next facility in Oradea will become the main plant of Plexus corporation in Europe. Technologies in the plant will include a fault analysis lab, highly important in meeting our European clients' demands," stated Radu Mişcov, general manager of Plexus Services Ro. He did not specify the company's clients.
The company's representatives say the new plant may be completed this year, but it will not operate at full capacity at the beginning. Products manufactured in Oradea will be exported.
