Last Saturday, 112 students from 15 high schools in Constanta participated at Creativity & Innovation Challenge competition organized by Junior Achievement Romania in partnership with Raiffeisen Bank.
To create a responsible financial behavior for young people and adults and to facilitate parents - children communication regarding how to allocate the family budget, students participating in the competition were given the theme to create an application for mobile technology to help family members to effectively manage their family's income and expenses.
“For me it was a dynamic event that challenged us to find creative solutions and improved our ability to work together", said Mara Bălaşa, student at Ovidius High School. The competition brought together students from 15 high schools in Constanta who used knowledge of economics and technology and creativity to find innovative solutions to the given theme, having the support of 7 Raiffeisen Bank volunteer consultants.
The winner of this edition was a team of students from Ovidius High School. The top 3 teams will participate in the national finals, which take place online during the second semester. The event is the first of a series of four, which runs from October to November; the following events are in Iasi, Bucharest and Brasov. The competition is organized by Junior Achievement Romania in partnership with Raiffeisen Bank and is part of the financial education program for high school students, Banking ABC.
