The "BURSA" newspaper won two awards at the twelfth edition of the "Stock Market Gala of 2013", held by the Association of Brokers last week, at the Bucharest World Trade Center.
The "BURSA" press group won the award for its support of the stock market, through its involvement in the organizing of conferences and debates on issues of current interest.
On September 12th, "BURSA" organized the conference "The strategy for the relaunch of the stock market", which saw a numerous attendance of over 200 participants.
The object of controversy in the banking sector, admired on the stock market, BURSA journalist Călin Rechea was awarded the prize for his in-depth analysis of the international financial markets in his articles.
Other stock market players who contributed to its growth in 2013 were awarded by the Association of Brokers. Dan Paul, the president of the Association of Brokers, said: "Any award festivity brings with it the joy of success. This year we have many reasons to be optimistic about the future of the stock market and we are hoping to continue to be successful in tapping the existing opportunities. Of course, we will need several ingredients to do that: a greater involvement of all the market players, regulations that are clear and adequate for the current level of development of the market, that will choke off neither the initiatives of the brokers, nor those of investors, better education of the public about the financial market, especially of young people, as well as greater attention paid to foreign investors by removing any bureaucratic barriers that could make them abandon their plans to invest in Romania. Not least of all, we hope that the policy of privatizing the state owned companies through listings on the Stock Exchange will continue in the coming period".
