After only three years since taking over the leadership of Ozone Romania, Ruxandra Nastase confirms the departure from the drug company, after the acquisition of Ozone’s product portfolio by LaborMed.
“Ozone is a closed chapter now”, said Ruxandra Nastase (photo). The statement of the former chief executive of Ozone Romania comes a month and a half after Wall-Street reported on the imminent departure from the group held by Walid Abboud, Ludovic Robert, Roger Akoury and Charles Michel Eid, founders of A&D Pharma. “Ozone is now affiliated to LaborMed, who will manage the newly-acquired portfolio”, said Nastase, adding she preferred disclosing more details related to her departure at the end of September.
Ruxandra Nastase is not the first executive that leaves the company shortly after the Advent International deal. The day the contract was sealed, Marius Chereches, groups business development & supply chain director with Ozone Romania said he would step down at the end of July.
“My contract with Ozone Laboratories will terminate on July 31, 2009. Throughout this time, I’ve managed to achieve a round of excellent projects, but others failed to come to pass. But even so, I appreciate the time spent in the company”, said Marius Chereches, in an e-mail sent to the media. Former director of Ozone is now serving as corporate development director at LaborMed Parma, according to sources close to the issue.
Ruxandra Nastase however, was not willing to comment the subject. “It is possible to remain in the drug industry”, said the former chief executive of Ozone Romania, without disclosing any further details. In a previous interview, Nastase said in ten years she was still seeing herself in the pharmaceutical industry, in a regional position.
