The war of prices on the Romanian telecom market will not subside over the next three to four years, either, and the yet low rate of usage of Internet access services in Romania is the chance for operators to boost their average revenue per user, say representatives of telecom companies.
"We are still behind as far as Internet usage is concerned, with operators still investing and building networks in order to be able to offer high-speed internet - that would also allow the provision of telephony and TV services. This is the bet right now - the average revenue per user will rise via increased Internet usage," believes Radu Petric, head of the Association of Cable Communications (ACC), which includes the biggest players on the market. He made these statements at a conference organised in Bucharest by online publication Broadband TV News, based in the UK.
