Romanian football is under shock after the match between Dinamo and Slovan Liberec was suspended due to a pitch invasion
The Dinamo fans ended the game between Dinamo and Liberec after only 88 minutes. The UEFA observer told the Romanian officials that they will find out today what the consequences are. Sources from the club claim that the owners are afraid that Dinamo could be suspended from European competitions for 3 to 5 years!
The Czech team was in front, 2-0, when the referee put an early end to the game. The first Dinamo ultras to jump over the fence came onto the pitch right after the guests scored their second goal, in the 84th minute. He was immobilised, but, after 3 or 4 minutes, 100 more fans left the stands and invaded the running track. The stewards were afraid to try and stop them, and by the time the Jandarmeria (the military branch of the Romanian police) appeared, the fans got to spit and swear at the footballers, and also threw various objects at them.
Then, the hooligans blended in with the mob leaving the stadioum and couldn't be identified. The Austrian referee, Einwaller, had already whistled the end of the game.
The security forces came hard onto the hooligans, and a fan had to be carried away on a stretcher, after he suffered a heart attack. Another one was captured, the only one of the hundred people that terrified the players. "I'm innocent, I have nothing to do with them, I didn't enter the pitch", he claimed.
Dario Bonetti, the Dinamo coach, was one of the last persons leaving for the changing rooms, when he almost got hit by a bottle thrown towards him from the stands. His players had already locked themselves in. "We're not leaving until we're told that we are 100% safe!", they were heard.
Dinamo fans are past offenders
Dinamo was also warned and got close to being kicked out of E
