Tourism agencies will supplement this season offers for international ski resorts and exotic packages, the top destinations being Innsbruck, Malta, Egypt or Dubai, together with European capitals. The winter season will gear 20% of overall earnings to tourism agencies.
“We forecast high demand in ski resorts destinations. The top destinations this year will remain resorts in Austria, Egypt, Malta, Dubai. If the charters to Egypt are already tradition to J’Info Tours, charter offers for Christmas and New Year’s Eve to Innsbruck and Malta came as a response to high market demand,” said Cristina Irimia, marketing director at J’Info Tours agency.
Winter earning likely to mount to 20% of overall earnings
Representatives of J’Info Tours confirm the high demand for holidays abroad as the purchase power and wages level has increased in the past two years, due to Romania’s accession to EU membership. Romanians book their winter vacation “2-3 months ahead, they are familiar with the fact that best offers end first,” Irimia added, saying that this winter season’s earning is likely to cover 18-20% of overall earning.
The highest demand for New Year’s Eve is for Dubai, Thailanda, Mauritius, Maldives, Seychelles, Cuba, and in Europe is for Rome, Paris, Vienna, and Barcelona. “As for internal destinations, the top destinations are hostels in Bran area and ski resorts in Valea Prahovei, Poiana Brasov”, Irimia added.
