Ali Yilmaz Yildirimlar, general manager of Raddison Blu on Calea Victoriei hotel, the five-star hotel boasting the biggest capacity in Bucharest, 424 rooms, maintains that in the first nine months of the year food & beverage revenues rose by 13.3% against the same period of last year, while revenues from the conference segment stagnated.
"A major contribution in overall revenues, namely almost 25%, is brought by the hotel's restaurants. A lot of persons, who are not accommodated at Radisson Blu, come to have lunch and dinner with us, either at a business meeting or a personal one," stated Ali Yilmaz Yildirimlar, without specifying the absolute value of revenues brought by restaurants.
The hotel on Calea Victoriei operates Dacia Felix Restaurant, with a 220-seat capacity, Prime Steaks&Sea Food, with 44 seats, Citta coffee shop and Bla Lounge Bar, Dark Bla Bar and Light Bla Terrace.
The hotel's officials did not disclose turnover generated in the first nine months, maintaining, though, revenues were largely brought by accommodation services.
"Accommodation contributes 55-56% to the hotel's total revenues, restaurants 25-26%, conference organisation brings 16-17%, and the rest comes from the services we provide, using hotel room phones or parking".
