Cosmote and Romtelecom, companies with the same majority shareholder, yesterday launched the first integrated offer of TV, fixed and mobile telephony and Internet services, at prices starting from 13.3 euros per month (VAT not included), thus for the first time competing with RCS&RDS domestic group, the only company that can offer similar services packages. RCS&RDS on the one hand and Romtelecom and Cosmote, on the other, are the only players on the Romanian telecom market that provide (cable and satellite) TV, Internet and fixed and mobile telephony services. RCS&RDS has so far profited from the absence of a 5-play offer on the market, given that the relationship between Cosmote and Romtelecom has grown slowly in terms of offer integration and the launch of some joint offers. The first 5-play offer in the history of OTE Greek group's operations in Romania was launched through Germanos, the biggest telecom retail chain in Romania, which is controlled by Cosmote and whose business is coordinated by Stefanos Theocaropoulos, CEO of Cosmote Romania. According to Germanos representatives, clients can opt only for Romtelecom's satellite TV within the package.
