With a wealth estimated at 1.9-2 billion euros and business in IT, media, energy, services and real estate fields, Dinu Patriciu ranks first in the top Adevarul 500 billionaires.
Dinu Patriciu holds 25% of Rompetrol, stake evaluated at 450-550 million euros. He is also the owner of EuroJet, an airline company that provides business jet charter flight services in over 90 destinations in 34 countries, according to information made public in Top Adevarul 500 billionaires.
Patriciu holds real estate projects worth approximately 500 million euros, in stakes of 25% up to 100%. Another project is Adevarul media trust, in which businessman invested 35 million euros. He invested 700 million euros so far, that returns annual 15% output.
Moreover, Romanian businessman holds another business in IT field evaluated at 70 million euros, two in Holland in alternative energy field and personal possessions worth 110 million euros – a dwelling in Snagov, a mansion in Saint Martin, an apartment in Paris, two yachts and a personal jet.
“I find myself in a very embarrassing position. This top has nothing to do with me, except the fact I am in it. To me, personally, the interesting part is the wealth evaluation. I will pay extra attention when I will read the chapter,” Dinu Patriciu stated at the event occasioned by the Top’s launching.
Top 500 billionaires is completed by Ion Tiriac, businessman that ranks second in Top Adevarul 500 richest Romanians, with a wealth evaluated at 950 million -1 billion euros. Winner of 1970’s edition of tennis tournament Rolland Garros together with Ilie Nastase holds business in insurance, real estate, sports, auto, and banking.
