Hidroconstrucţia, the second biggest player on the Romanian constructions market in 2009, is mulling expansion to the Middle East, while other Romanian builders, such as Romstrade or Delta ACM have entered the Iraqi market in recent months.
"The company's board of directors plans to consider possibilities of penetrating high-potential markets of the Middle East, as we identify political and economic stability conditions," stated Romeo Bogdanovici, head of HR management with the company.
The company has budgeted turnover worth above 230m euros for this year, flat from 2010.
While last year the builder saw turnover drop by around 13% (in lei i.e.) year-on-year, profit, on the other hand, added over 3m euros, to 14m euros.
