The Oradea plant of Celestica, the Canadian provider of electronic equipment parts with 6.5bn dollars last year, got in six years from 18 to around 2,400 employees amid production expansion and rising client portfolio.
Celestica Romania, among the 20 biggest exporters, last year recruited over 1,000 people for the production, engineering, procurement, planning, financial and logistics departments, with more people are likely to be hired this year.
"Currently we have around 2,400 employees at the Oradea plant. Should the turnover rise, we'll hire more people for the plant. We're in talks with many potential clients, but we will not disclose their names until contracts are signed," Codruţa Bala, an HR manager with Celestica plant of Bihor, told ZF Transilvania.
Six year after arriving in Romania, Celestica is further developing its business in Bihor county, with the company being known as one of the most discreet on the market, but with figures that place it among the biggest exports, as well as among the 300 largest companies in Romania.
