Iaki four-star hotel of Mamaia, owned by former footballer Gheorghe Hagi, will end this year with turnover worth almost 12.9m RON (3m euros), up 22.8% from a year ago, according to the officials of Hagi Sport company, managing the hotel.
"Both accommodation revenues and food&beverage ones have a 40% contribution to turnover. Outside the season, food&beverage has a higher contribution, especially since the onset of the crisis," stated Anca Nedea, 32, who came at the helm of the four-star hotel this February.
The spa centre also has a significant contribution to the hotel's turnover, at 10%. Also, hotel space rental and the beauty centre also generate 10% of turnover.
Last year, Hagi's hotel reached 10.5m RON (2.5m euros) turnover and 190,000-euro losses, having 125 employees, according to Trade Registry data.
Anca Nedea specified the 2011 budgets were being drawn up, and would be finalised by yearend, and she hoped the hotel would post no further losses.
