"A rising number of industries in Romania, utilities, cable and telephony operators, are coping with a large number of debtors," Gregoire Vigroux, co-founder of CallPoint New Europe told ZF. According to him, the average debt collection rate ranges between 70 and 80%.
In Romania, CallPoint provides debt collection services for a bank and a financial institution. Also, it provides call centre services to a retail company and sales by phone to a telecom operator.
The company estimates 2m-euro turnover this year in Romania and 7m-euro turnover for the entire group. Last year, CallPoint posted 183,000-euro losses amid 860,000-euro turnover.
